Multi-faith Showtime for a Cause during Interfaith Youth for Peace & Nature Camp

The goal of the peace camp is to provide a safe environment where young people freely express their views and experiences after participating in the interfaith workshops as well as engaging in the local projects/initiatives. At the same time, they are given an opportunity to learn self-transformation, valuable listening, communication, and conflict management skills that they can apply as they go back to their respective areas. The three (3) weeks Peace Camp will contain educational sessions that discuss world and local issues like Drug Awareness for Peace Advocacy, Health Awareness on Indigenous perspectives, Strengthening Muslim-Christian Relations, Multicultural Diversity, Religious Tolerance, Conflict Resolution, Disaster Risk Reduction, Water Safety, Environmental Issues and other important topics and discuss their issues and concerns, stance on the issues presented and train them to become effective Peace & Nature Advocates. For THREE WEEKS, these interfaith youth leaders will be interacting with one another, trying to find commonalities despite differences, discovering new ways to communicate and to bridge the gap in between their values, culture and faith through Multi-faith Showtime competition. Most importantly, they would conduct the Search for “Mister & Miss Mother Nature Advocate of the year” taking into consideration the compliance of the participating team with Dialogue and Understanding, Eco-activities like Mass Tree Growing, Multifaith Showtime to sustain the interfaith youth leaders efforts and replicate these to other interfaith youth leaders and in their respective communities.
